How the message budget works
WhatsApp charges businesses for some conversations. Every staff member you pay for includes a message budget that covers this, so there is no per-message invoice to reconcile.
The budget resets with each billing period and does not roll over. If it runs out before the period ends, WhatsApp template messages — reminders and confirmations to clients and staff — pause until the next period.
Billing questions
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The 7-day trial starts without one and nothing is charged when it ends. If you do nothing, the account simply pauses until you subscribe.
Can I change the number of staff later?
Yes, anytime. Adding a staff member takes effect immediately and is charged pro rata; removing one credits the difference. Your data, history and settings stay exactly as they are.
What counts as a staff member?
Anyone who takes appointments and appears in the booking flow. Inactive staff are unlimited and free, so you keep the history of people who have left.
What happens if I cancel?
Your shop stops taking new bookings at the end of the period you already paid for. You are not charged again.
Is yearly billing cheaper?
Yes. A year costs the same as ten months, so two months are free. The included message budget scales with the longer period.
Do I need my own WhatsApp Business API account?
No. Appointfy connects your number to the official WhatsApp Business Platform through an authorised provider. You authorise it once in a guided flow and message templates are submitted for approval on your behalf.
Are there setup fees or commission?
No setup fee and no commission on your bookings. The prices above are the whole cost.
